This level is ongoing and can be repeated as many times as the student wishes, with each term covering a new portion of the Qur’an.
Ideal for beginners or those strengthening their foundation in Arabic reading. This level focuses on correct pronunciation of Arabic letters, short vowels and tanween. It introduces the foundational concepts of tafkheem (heavy articulation) and tarqeeq (light articulation). Basic rules of Salah recitation are also covered.
This level builds on foundational skills by exploring letter characteristics (sifaat) in greater depth. Students study key pronunciation rules including sukoon, madd tabee’ee (natural elongation), leen (soft letters), qalqalah (echoing sound) and hams (whispered letters). Selected recitation practice includes Surah Al-‘Asr to Surah An-Nas.
This level introduces more advanced tajweed rules, including laam sakin, hamzatul wasl and madd faree’ee (secondary elongation rules). Students begin applying these rules in structured recitation practice. Surah Ash-Shams to Surah At-Takathur are covered in this stage.
This level focuses on advanced application of tajweed rules such as noon sakin and tanween rules, meem sakin rules, waqf (stopping), and ibtida (starting). It also covers additional rules found in the Hafs narration according to the Shatibiyyah tradition. The emphasis is on consistent and accurate application, with full coverage of the remainder of Juz ‘Amma..
This final level focuses on fluency, refinement and consistency in recitation. Students recite 1–2 pages of the Qur’an per class, combining group and individual reading. A weekly tajweed rule revision is included, with emphasis on correcting subtle errors and improving overall recitation quality.
The ultimate goal is to help sisters achieve proficiency in reciting the Qur'an. Taught by an ijazah qualified tajweed teacher, the classes offer structured guidance in a warm and supportive environment, without formal assessments and the pressure of academic performance.
Progression to the next level will simply require the completion of the previous one. Sisters who miss a class due to unavoidable circumstances or menses, will have the opportunity to recite their missed portion the following week inshaaAllah. Ustadhah will remain available for an additional 15 minutes after the session inshaaAllah to assist with this.
Course Fees & Concessions
To maintain the quality of the courses and ensure their continued delivery, all courses are offered on a paid basis. These fees help support the time, preparation and resources required to provide meaningful and beneficial learning experiences.
At the same time, financial circumstances should not prevent a sincere student from accessing knowledge.
For this reason, concessions may be available for those who are genuinely unable to afford the full course fee.
Students facing financial difficulties are encouraged to make contact in confidence. Every effort will be made to assist wherever possible, as knowledge should remain accessible to those who sincerely seek it.
